I am Gina and I am an artist, way too up in the skies. Lieven is an artist, too, but he applies the basics and principles of artistry with his feet on the ground.
Together, we understand each other perfectly, in theory. Practically... we are like the Earth and the Moon. He provides the grounds, I provide the light in the dark.
We met at an art gallery in Bucharest. I was presenting some painting to my French friends and Lieven was just passing by.
It was not hard to make a connection. We were both smokers, in need of a lighter.
Our first trip together to Samothrake (first Greek island on the right as you look from Alexandria) put the basis of our engagement.
Pico Iyer once said, “The best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end.”
Well, it's kind of true! We are still going on!
The meeting point will be at the beach bar of Vittorio's restaurant.
For the ones who don't want to rent a car, we can organize transportation from the airport.
After having a welcoming drink we will guide you to the place where you will be staying during our wedding.
You'll love it!
Lieven's friend from the time he spent in Paris is Christian.
You will meet Christian for sure, as he will be the one officiating our marriage. We are lucky, as in Italy, you can choose someone who can declare you Husband and Wife! Our guy is Christian!
Good luck to him!
We have prepared a quiet dinner with quality live jazz music specially for you, on the evening before the marriage.
Garbis Dedeian, sax, and Mircea Tiberian, piano, will enchant us with their magic.
It's going to be fantastic!
The big day is here! We will unite in love and peace in the Temples of Selinunte.
Since there are rocky breathtaking landscapes and it's still quite hot in September, we advise you wear something casual chic and comfortable shoes.
Also, since we are going to be in an archeological site, it's very important that we pay respect to the past and all the effort the Commune has put into keeping the site intact.
It's true, trust me!
After Selinute, we go to Vittorio's restaurant for tasting the most amazing Sicilian dishes. From raw to complex cuisine, all is done with passion and style.
The party will take place in the garden, with all sweet decorations and flowers and champagne...
Ignazio is going to prepare us the wedding cake.
We're all going to get diabetes, for sure!
From Vittorio we will move in the port, where there is a big long table waiting for us.
The fishermen are ready with their fresh grilled sardines and the locals are going to give us some of their products to taste: ricotta, carciofi, tenerume, dried tomatoes and some povera cucina dishes that are going to blow your mind.
On the grass, a scene is putting the basis of the first concert ever in the history of Porto Palo and behind it, the defense tower is lighting itself on the sound of the music.
This is happening once in a lifetime!
Please, let us know in time!
